Needs some help with choosing boots.

Post by Blackhawk »

Need some help coming up with a new work boot to wear. It will also serve as a field boot. Main concern is water proofed, I usually don't have a problem with the cold. Light weight would be a bonus. Boots will mainly be wore in a factory, but they will see some field use as well. Comfort is a big bonus.

Here are a couple pairs I'm looking at.

Anyone have any experience with these two boots? Or can recommend a pair that are light weight, water proof and comfortable?

Redwing 1412

eBay store listing

When you find a boot that fits your foot, call the company and find out what "last" they use to build that boot and ask what other styles use that last. They will all fit the same.

The Redwing 1412 uses the same last as:

Styles, 406, 414, 466, 468, 606, 607, 608, 914, 923, 926, 938, 979, 1206, 1261, 1262, 1263, 1411, 1412 are all manufactured on our 695 last.[/url]
Kind regards,
Tycer

Tycer do you work for Redwing? That's ALL I wear. I don't care what they look like even at church my comfort is the most important thing to me, not how it looks to other people.

Redwing has never let me down AND they are American made!!!!!

Go to ---www.workingperson.com---I wear Chippewa work boots. Redwing are also good. Most shoes a/o boots are imported. You have to look hard for the USA label. Look for boots that have the sole sewn on, they can be resoled. Most are glued on. Good luck
