Cat Scat?

Post by El Chivo »

On my last climbing trip I ran across this scat:

pretty big pieces, that's a big K-bar, blade is 8" long and 1/1/4" wide.

I'm thinking mountain lion, I usually don't see coyote or dog up that high.

Can someone ID?

Looks like mountain lion to me. All cat scat is segmented and that is large enough.

Looks just like what I scoop out of the cat boxes every week, only bigger.

I suspect it's a cougar. At the least a bob cat.

Mountain lion. Bobcats aren't that big, unless it's a mix. It's rare, but does happen.
