Got a very special rifle last week!
I've been a fan of the .303 British since my first Enfield I bought for $50 at a show when I was about 16.
I've had dozens over the years and a couple of sporters but I always wanted a commercial BSA.
Well our good friend rjohns94 just happened to have one for sale and I was finally able to get it here
last week. Saying I'm pleased is an understatement!
My favorite part is the three leaf express sights with a long range ladder sight at the end of it.
Here's a cheapie camera photo, still need to replace my good one.
I have the perfect companion for it, Second Model S&W Hand Ejector in .455 but need a proper sling and cartridge
belt.
Anyone have any suggestions for the sling and hook style swivels? Not even sure if there's a proper name for them.
Thanks Mike!!

Wow - very nice rifle - nice combo there. That is one cartridge I have never worked with - might not ever have shot one.

Re: Got a very special rifle last week!
Jason, I too am green with envy. Considering how many Enfield sporters and Lee-Speeds were offered in the early part of the last century, it is amazing how few one sees anymore, and at anything like an affordable price. Hope the bore is perfect. Back when I was in the swaging business, I made myself up a batch of .312 jacketed softnoses weighing 225 grains. Those bullets were very accurate from my Enfield and gave just about 2100 fps. I wish I could have had the chance to see them perform on game, as I think they would never have stopped penetrating. A guy would feel very good taking game with your rifle.

Those 225's sound interesting!
I've hunted with the other sporters I've had but haven't connected with anything larger than a woodchuck. Boy that was a mess!
I'll definitely be using this one on my next hunt!

Beautiful rifle, and nice, compatible combo with that Hand Ejector! Appears to me like you've got a winnin' pair. Congratulations!

Wow! Great set. There's something that is just oh-so-right about commercial Lee-Enfields and Lee Speeds. Truly a classic bolt gun.

That IS a beauty. I am glad that someone here got it. The .303 British is one of my favorites, good for you and post accounts of your adventures with it.

Very nice rifle. One of my favorites! BTW, The knife. Is that an old "Western" brand? Looks just like one I have had since my boy scout days.

It's a Case actually but I do have a Western that belonged to my Grandfather. I need to find something more fitting
for the early 19th century.
Thanks everyone, once I get a better camera and put together all the accessories I'll post some better pictures. These are all washed out and that makes me crazy!

Very nice, indeed. One of my uncles had one back in the 60's that was the jungle carbine version.

Fine looking rifle!
I had a buddy in Alaska who hunted moose with the 303. Very effective.
