This Reporter Was Lucky!
Good thing she didn't realize that the 'dog' that walked right by her was actually a Mountain Lion!!!!!!!!

Ok that lady is old enough to know the difference between a dog and a cat!
Heck a dog would have walked up to her tail wagging- if the cats tail was wagging the camera guy would have caught a lion attack on tape!
Still I can't believe how stupid she is!

A perfect example of why many city folks should not be allowed out of their condos.
Sort of on the same track. Many years ago a reporter Coleen Williams, now an anchor, was sent out to do a story on a little girl who was almost drug off by a lion. As she stood in front of the water hole where the attack took place behind her in the reeds was the lion. No one noticed it until the editor was preparing the video for the evening news.

A "journalist". Very likely too bad that the lion didn't attack.

That is extremely abnormal behavior for a mountain lion. Maybe someone's escaped pet?
Re: This Reporter Was Lucky!
She did have a light in her face and was focused on the camera. She never really looked directly at the cat. Nothing she could have done by the time she saw it any way other than make things worse.

She's blonde, under the age of 40 and easy on the eyes -- she's allowed to wander the earth in blissful ignorance

Probably lucky she wasn't smart enough to know what it was, or she might have started running! Then she would have been in big trouble. I think she didn't get attacked because she didn't move. But think about this too.....the camera person just filmed it too, and didn't react or say anything!

Re: This Reporter Was Lucky!
Yep, pretty strange.
Re: This Reporter Was Lucky!
Very well could be. The reporter and her dialog are probably real, the cat maybe added in. The animal doesn’t act cautious, curious, or aggressive. Even a tame house cat would likely show some acknowledgment toward a stranger.

Re: This Reporter Was Lucky!
Exactly what I mean. The camera lights, her talking are not things a wild mountain lion is used to. Now if the cat made its appearance from behind the reporter I might believe it a little more.
