This needs to change

Post by Ysabel Kid »

I don't think this is political... hopefully just common sense.

Saw a story yesterday about a Lowes employee who tried to stop a shoplifter, got beat up for her loyalty to the company she's worked for for the last 13 years, and then Lowes fired her for breaking company policy.

Saw a story last week about any employee who just filmed shoplifters in the parking lot. Only contact was to grab the tin foil off the fleeing car which caught the plate on camera and enabled the police to get them. And he - a USMC vet - was fired for breaking policy.

These stories are getting more and more common. And then the nitwit companies wonder why shoplifting has reached epidemic proportions.

Several things need to change. Stores need to press charges on EVERYONE who steals, no exceptions. Doesn't matter the amount.

Prosecutors need to prosecute thieves, no exceptions. Judges need to start applying the maximum penalty. Legislators need to change laws to really hammer theft.

And while they are at it, change the liability laws so employers won't get sued silly by thieves or by employees who decide to step in.

We, as a society, are descending into pure lawlessness. It has to stop. And the only way it will is to restore the concept that thievery will never be tolerated, and the punishment is much harsher than any reward.

PS - I'm considering boycotting Lowes over this. Companies need to show a little background. I don't want to pay higher prices to account for the scum who steal from them, and I don't want stores to become unsafe everywhere. Companies are starting to pay the price for abject stupidity. Hopefully this changes things.

You'll never guess what organizations are behind the shoplifting increase and who launders the money:

It’s no longer what is right or wrong…..there’s so much filthy money out there it’s uncountable………a lawsuit will cost the company 50X what the product is what they stole.

………..unless, of course, on how much the average guy gets paid.

Most all of all businesses are in the same thinking so if your an employee, let it go when “da bro runs out da doe of da stow wit da new TV”, just laugh as when da bro wake up the next day they are still gonna be what they are….nothings…..

Can't agree more with the comments here.

But I would add to the OPs first remarks about descending into lawlessness....that's only partially true. What they will rigorously enforce is their unconstitutional gun laws on every day honest folks like us. I live in rural NYS and am all too familiar with the "hug-a-thug" catch and release justice system being forced upon us. I've said for a long time they are making room in the prisons for all of us.

One advantage of being retired is that no one can fire me for doing the right thing. I might get arrested, but I can't be fired.

Slime robbing stores are just that, slime. The only way to gain control of law and order is to enforce it. Violently! I say start dropping thieves in their tracks and leaving their bodies there as a warning to others to act like humans again. I know what I'm proposing is extreme but the situation is extreme.

As an example, I believe that the US Constitution guarantees each citizen the right to starve to death if they are too lazy to earn a living. I'm not talking about people with disabilities who can't work but the fact is that even downs syndrome people are being employed in grocery stores and other places to work so just being 'disadvantaged' doesn't mean you don't have to try.

Same with druggies. I say drug addiction IS NOT a disease, it's A CHOICE. Do drugs, get busted, go to rehab. That's your only freebie. Get caught doing drugs again after rehab and that's a choice. You don't go to jail with free food, bed, and medical. You are out on the street where you straighten yourself out or you die.

Story on Fox this morning. The lady from Lowes has been reinstated will be back to work. Sounds like the Suits realized they screwed up and apologized.

Part of their statement makes sense though, paraphrasing here, "Products can be replaced, but people can't". Right or wrong, getting yourself killed for a box of nails, isn't worth it.

We had loss prevention issues at the Sportsman's Warehouse in Oregon where I worked after retiring from newspapers. With a lot of fit young guys working there, there were several chases out of the store into the parking lot -- and after one flying tackle on the hot asphalt, the perp was in an uncontrollable rage because he had road rash. Can you imagine?
Saddest part of the story is that our "loss prevention specialist" was fired and we never were told what else after she was caught having conspired with a "customer" who threatened to sue after she "fell and hurt her ankle" in our parking lot.

Remember the old saw, "Crime doesn't pay"? It's obviously not true any more.

Especially since the pandemic there are millions more people whose livelihood is based on predatorial behavior. And with the additional millions of people coming across our borders illegally who speak no English and have no marketable job skills and who have no intention of assimilating into American society, it's only getting worse. It's a matter of our prisons being so inadequate, our court sytems being so overwhelmed that WE are becoming the prisoners.

I agree with you, drugs are a choice, as are tobacco and alcohol . . . and murder and mayhem

Been to Portland or Seattle or Boise or LA or LV lately? They are already out there on the street, free to rob stores with impunity, and to harass citizens however it suits them. People are getting assassinated every day by this same crowd.

The outlaw class are given a free pass by the marxists running the country.

The actual criminals are the 'elected officials'.

what's next?

It’s all very simple and it would only take 25% of the people to get involved…….

Politicians produce nothing, they are parasites who heavily depend on the cash flow system. …lawyers are no better as they are the ones who promote your chances of becoming “instantly rich” with their multitude of commercials.

So, let’s have a National Stay Home week until the laws are enforced…after all, it is illegal to steal….

It’s all we need is a leader who has the testicles to organize such an event.

But it won’t happen because Americans are flush with cash and have food in their stomachs and expect “the other guy to do it.”

When the next real pandemic comes and bodies are littering the streets, we might see action.

Drugs are in this country because the politicians want them here…..it keeps us all divided and arguing amongst ourselves.

That's what I said on a D.C. radio talk show when the "homeland security gestapo" started strip searching 80 y.o. women in wheel chairs to protect American travelers.

I said on air that Americans could reject this outrageous invasion by "JUST SAYING NO AIR TRAVEL". I don't remember who the dumbfounded 'host' was, or what he said, but I got that out to a wide audience. Had absolutely no discernible effect. People lined up for hours to be groped the poked and otherwise raped by the official rapist consortium. Foreshadowing the official vaccine-rape training to further condition Americans to be treated perversely by government. Americans are conditioned like dogs with bark collars.

One more stolen election should be all they need . . .

Yea Grizz….I’ve been saying for a long time that “it’s coming”…….these catastrophes don’t happen overnight……first, the stupid ones need to be conditioned so it can be blamed on the right……..then a billion or so people will die and history will record us as nuts…….then it will start all over again………..regrouping……religion………invention…..semi affluence……affluence……apathy……and in two hundred years another die off.

Dallas County DA refuses to prosecute theft under adout $700 now. It is looking like a bad 70s dystopian movie.
