The recent .410 post.....
got me thinking.....
I have these.....
https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/pr ... ctId/74105
And they fit and feed in every .410 I've tried.
And....
https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/pr ... uctId/2336
And I have .125" thick .412" and .430" circlefly cards.
And I have fine shot and round balls in .330, .350, .360, .375, .380, and .395.
And I have these .410 slugs (fury brand).
As for powders, most of the usual suspects.
Your thoughts ?

Thanks for that information. I have a single shot .410 that I was considering fireforming .303 British cases in. But my .410 will not close in the .303 rims.

Ray, those conicals look mighty deadly to me. I probably would not want to shoot them through a tight full choke, depending on their diameter, how soft they are and how they were loaded, but I would bet they would make serious deer medicine.
Re: The recent .410 post.....
manual(s) drawings show rim dia. .514" (.444) vs. .540" (.303) with thicknesses same.

Re: The recent .410 post.....
Yup, rim thickness is why they don't close in my gun. However having 2 MEC presses for 410 I just load thug slugs, OOO buck and shot in any 2.5 or 3" , no need to monkey with 444 brass.

Re: The recent .410 post.....
Try a piece of 9.3 x 74R brass and see if it fits. Read it works well in making brass 410's.

Re: The recent .410 post.....
When I was in High School I used to thin and resize the rims on 303 Brit cases for use in an Italian revolver a kid traded to me for a 22 rifle. We didn't know what cartridge it was (10 something millimeter) so I made it up as we went along. Its not difficult if you have access to a lathe. Doesn't need to be a big lathe. You could probably do it with a hand held drill and a belt sander if you have a steady hand and a good eye...

If I had 9.3x 74r brass I'd have a 9.3x74 rifle and wouldn't waste brass for a 410. When I have thousands of hulls .

Re: The recent .410 post.....
Well, I tried a new, unsized starline .444 marlin case in 5 different break open actioned guns, a 1950s era bolt-action, and a 2015 mossberg pump and they all closed into ballery/lockup and extracted/ejected as the case may be. Only the rossi youth model combo (the one that comes with auxiliary .22 lr. and .243 barrels) showed some resistance to closing. I got serious with it and it reluctantly closed with a snick.
