1904 winchester 32 special
Win 94 32 Special made in 1904, 26" barrel, hex barrel, any idea what it is worth? Have not seen it yet, will this weekend.
I know the gentlemen selling it, and I am guessing it is in good to very good condition.
Last year he brought several Remington pumps , 25 rem with the suicide safety, a 32 Rem and several 30 remingtons. Had interest in the 32 and the 25 Rem but he wanted too much for them at least for me

With the information provided (not much) it's worth somewhere in the $500 - $1400 range.

Never seen a six sided barrel on a Winchester. Might want to check and make sure the other two sides are still there.

Yeah. Every time I hear of a "hex barrel" Winchester I can clearly hear the sound of +/-58,000 geometry teachers rolling over in their graves. Winchester barrel were 8 sided which is an octagon. The same shape as a STOP sign you see every day. Hexagons are 6 sided geometric shapes like the individual cells in a bee hive.

My late uncle had a Winchester Model 1894 with a cresent buttplate, sadle ring, and what may have been a 30" 6 sided barrel in cal 32.40.This was the sweetest shooting rifle I ever had the chance to shoot.I had it appraised in the mid 80's and was offered $2,000 for it.Sadly it was reserved for my brother.Yes there were "6 sided" Winchesters..

Not to be argumentative but you really need to have your brother take a picture and then post it. I can guaranty you that the barrel will have 8 sides to it.308magtip wrote: ↑Fri Nov 09, 2018 12:41 pm My late uncle had a Winchester Model 1894 with a cresent buttplate, sadle ring, and what may have been a 30" 6 sided barrel in cal 32.40.This was the sweetest shooting rifle I ever had the chance to shoot.I had it appraised in the mid 80's and was offered $2,000 for it.Sadly it was reserved for my brother.Yes there were "6 sided" Winchesters..

Seen it, handled it. Turns out worth somewhere between 5-7K
Nice rifle, but not that big a Winchester fan, at least not for that money.
Anyway, was nice to look at.

Re: 1904 winchester 32 special
AFAIK, the early (before the crossbolt safety on the TG) Remington Model 11 shotgun was the only Remington with a "suicide safety" (inside the triggerguard), and not the Model 25.
Those early Remington Model 11 safeties were only a small nub in the upper part of the TG housing, which were deemed small enough that one's finger could slip off while working it, and pull the trigger instead.
The Winchester Model 1911 was the "widowmaker".
