That is a beauty. I've been tempted a number of times to get a modern reproduction '76 chambered in 45-60.
Kirk: An old geezer who loves the smell of freshly turned earth, old cedar rail fences, wood smoke, a crackling fireplace on a snowy evening, pristine wilderness lakes, the scent of
cedars and a magnificent Whitetail buck framed in the semi-buckhorn sights of a 120-year old Winchester.

Mighty purty 76 Pitchy.
I always liked the looks of the 1876. They are massive and have lots of style. Always preferred the rifle over the carbines though.

Thanks OldWin, I thought some might like watching the linkage in motion. :)

There's nothing like running the action on a toggle link Winchester.
Hearing the "clink-clink" and having a little smoke curl out of the chamber is really cool beans.

Gorgeous colors on that rifle Pitchy. I had one in 45-60 but I traded it away, (can't remember for what) but I'm sure it was some passing passion.

Yeah, those internals are fascinating.

I had one in 45-75. Liked it a good bit. I found it to be strong medicine for hogs and yaks  You have a real nice one there
