Ok Boys,
I know I've been talking about this for awhile now and I'm sure everyone is tired of my whining, but here it goes.
I was offered a construction manager position with a new company that got me out of the sales job and back into the insurance restoration world where I belong. So to celebrate I set out to find the perfect replacement of my Bowen Old Model Super Blackhawk.
Well it just came in yesterday from an estate in Alaska and though I haven't shot it yet it sure "Feels" right. When I pulled it out of the box at my dealers shop and pulled back the hammer my first thought was "She's home". My dealer friend said my face lit up like a little kid on Christmas Morning.
It has a five digit SN instead of 4 like my last one but it dates out to 1967, just like me.
Anyway, here it is with the New Model I ordered a couple weeks ago.
It will be a month or so before I can send it off to Mr. Bowen so I'll have time to shoot it a bit first.

Nice! I'm really glad you found another 3-screw.
I like the new one too, but it just ain't the same.
I still want to have that done to my dad's. I will have to check and see when it was made. Like you, 67 would be good for me too.

"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.

I've kinda always wanted a 3-screw with 10-¼" barrel in .45 Colt.

I have a five digit in the 30,000 range. It has a more highly polished blue than I am used to seeing.

This one has the more polished blue as well, what's left of it anyway. First thought was that it had been refinished but was not the case.

I thought the same but asked the gunsmith at the shop. He said no. Roll marks are sharp. Mine has some holster wear also.
Re: Custom SBH Do Over!
Congratulations. Hope it can stay with you this time.
