At the end of the video you can just catch the squirrel falling out the tree. Prior to that I am looking up a beech and you should be able to hear the nuts falling from the squirrels but alas I can not see them!
The flintlock is a 20g, I had about 1oz of #7&#6 mixed in it.

I enjoyed that. It was the next best thing to me hunting!

Nath...I did catch a bit of movement and sound from the direction of your shot that I thought might have been your quarry... Would have been cool to see Tia bring him back to you... Again.. Well done!... thanks

Loved it.

Yes we do, we have our native red squirrel and the grey one introduced from your lands.
The grey dominates over the red oppresivly. The red clings on in only a few places now and can not be hunted.
The grey has a open season all year round.
One year I shot 440 something with a 9422 !

Thank fellers.

That mirrors what has happened here in my part of Texas. The grey has pushed the red or we call them( Fox )squirrel, into smaller colony groups .Some counties allow yr. long hunting ,but most have a fall and spring season. Personaly I think the grey squirrel should have a bounty on them and hunted all yr. Here in places they overpopulate and become very destructive! 440 something in one yr. Good On Ya! Good Hunting Nath! ,,,,DT

Squirrels are easily the tastiest of all wild game meats, but I can't imagine eating 100 of them never mind, 440 of them every year. A few dozen will generally do me and my friends just fine.
