Marlin dovetail size

Post by legacy38 »

I'm considering ordering a Marble rear sight for my 336. What size is the dovetail?

L38,

Marlin uses a standard 3/8" dovetail on their rifles.

I believe the Rossi Puma's are NOT 3/8" though, is that correct...?

L38, you're welcome.

I don't know about the current ones coming from Brazil but those imported by Interarms and I think LSI had an over sized rear dovetail. Mine sure did.

The only Rossi I own accepted a 3/8" rear sight slot blank from Marbles.
I do believe that earlier ones were not though.
