Anyone have any experience with this company? Good, bad? If you did how close was the inletting?

I have. Good company. You'll have plenty of wood to work with. The inletting is pretty close.

Here's my 86. I was able to leave it large and add some weight. I don't have pics of Nancy's shotgun, but the cherry is very pretty.

I've used them also, but I didn't go with the real fancy wood. I got a stock that had what I wanted (straight grain) and it wasn't too difficult to fit.

I'm happy to see that they offer PG Shotgun stocks for the '86. I'm gonna order a set for one of my LWs and go back to a pistol grip, again. I couldn't abide the crescent stock that came from Winchester. :D

I'm thinking along your lines, Mike. I don't know if I can get used to the crescent on my '86 either. I'll have to shoot it some more for a better evaluation. Nice looking wood for what they're asking, IMHO.

Kim, I had changed this one from straight grip to pistol grip. After ordering an expensive crescent butt stock from Winchester and trying it out, I decided that it just wouldn't work out for me. A few weeks ago, I took the gun apart again and replaced the PG lever and lower tang with the original straight setup. Much better, IMO. I am intrigued by Macon's nice PG stock, so here we go, again. It only takes about an hour to completely strip an '86 down to component parts and re-install them. The hardest part is putting the trigger, springs and pins back on the tang before re-assembly. That and holding your tongue just right to get the carrier hook to stay in place while re-pinning the lever to the bolt.
