Range day

Post by JReed »

Headed to the range today with the youngest boy. Normally would have taken the oldest boy also but do to his being at MCRD San Diego for another 11 weeks we had to go with out him. Only took two rifles to the range today His SKS and my parts master Rifle Cal 30 M1. Not a bad way to spend a morning. :D

A good day for sure! And a covered shooting area on a hot, sunny day is such a nice touch, too.

We got to the range early to beat the heat, but staying out of the sun is a nice thing.

This was the last day for a while we could go. Monday starts the new school for both of us so we won't have much time to go anytime soon. Which is ok, it gives me time to stock back up on ammo since we shot most of it over the summer lol.

Been going for my engineering degree. Apparently companies are not impressed by 20 years experience working on electronics for Uncle Sam they want a degree so to school I go.

Hey there, I am the person who introduced myself at Bass Pro on sun. I belong to a private gun range in the Corona area, if you are ever in need to shoot without the crowd shoot me a pm. I'm able to take guest's. We have a 200yrd range and great group of gun enthusiasts there.we also have a lot of weekend organized shoots of all disciplinesizes. We call it S.cals best secret.

Good to meet a Leverguner ! Moki

Nice post Gunny -- That's where we'll go next time I'm out your way!

Good luck with school -- although I'll bet you could give the prof's and other students a schoolin' when they need it too!

It was nice to meet you the other day. What range in Corona? I may take you up on that some time.

Flatnose that is the Lytle Creek range.

Darryl sounds like a plan. It's not a bad range. On weekdays it's mostly retired Vets and retired LEO's so it's a nice crowed to shoot with.
As to school it is entertaining. Had one of my Instructors made mention of "You should remember this from High School" I had to enlighten him on the fact that I haven't been to High School in 25 years or so

Good for you Gunny! :D

Hard to have a bad range day. I've had them, but even then, they are usually better than work!

Range time when you are there with family and the guns you choose to shoot is always enjoyable. I need to get PillHer out to the range again soon.
