New guy

Post by Stevie »

New I tellya'.....From Oklahoma. I do own some lever-guns. I do have some lever-gun questions but perhaps that's another topic or two.

Not too much to tell about me...I'm self employed(as is my wife)..three kids(one still at home, he's 21!!) eight..maybe nine grand children...I own a Jeep 3/4 ton truck(among others) and a John Deere tractor.

I do hunt some..I saw that huge feral pig a few topics down! Not too many years ago I actually bought a Rossi M92 .44 mag specifically for feral hog hunting...still I ain't never seen a feral hog that big! I mostly hunt small game and quail in season as the pig hunting fizzled 'cause the neighbors started baiting them into a pen and catching several at a time. Don't blame them as the hogs can really tear up a field of crops.

Well hi guys. I look forward to being a forum member....

Welcome...!

We enjoy anything levergun, and most stuff that's related (outdoors, shooting, hunting, etc.)

Sometimes we post lots of levergun pictures, but PhotoSuckit just kidnapped a bunch of 'em, so'z it will be awhile before some of us get going again with pictures.... :(

Hey I found one and un-kidnapped it....

One of my "Night Scout" rifles I use about the homestead when something is after the chickens or goats after dark:

The sights work REALLY well in bright daylight as well as twilight, and with a light quick-clipped on the magazine rail, I can shoot a 2" group at 50 yards in total darkness... 8)

Welcome to the forum.

Not all the hogs in OK are gone. Here is a pic of one that I shot north of Durant earlier this year:

Welcome from Pa. This is the home of many, many, enablers. Do not come here and ask questions such as should I buy this one or that one? The answer will usually be ...buy both. That is a fair warning. We also have many in our ranks that have a ton of experience in real world situations, you will learn a lot. Again welcome.
