We had a rescue Haflinger for a few years. Had to board it at the vets because although we live in a rural area, our property is all either swamp or really steep and irregular (very hard to fence) hills. It was a pretty cool animal, and my wife trained it for safe saddle riding. After a bit we found a family that had a small working farm and wanted him to pull carts and stuff, so we figured he'd have fun and be more appreciated there, and gave him to them.

Grass looks good; you must have had a wet spring. We are still having rain in north central Texas and our Welsh ponies are belly deep in grass in some places.

Any man who rescues an animal in trouble is a man to ride with. Those that abuse animals..I'd like to have a short but very intense discussion with.

He is a good looking horse. A fine head and a strong body.
Do you know what breed he is?

A fine looking horse, you have done a great job by the look of him.
Do you just use a bosal for training or do you usually ride with one?.

Been a long streatch of time since I had a good riding horse.
I grew up on my grandad's ranch and he never bought nothing
but nags...man they was rough on a man trying to work
cattle with em...never acted right.
I bought me a good horse when I got grown.
She got old on me and I sold her to a lady for her
kiddos.

How is he going to pull the trigger, much less ride another horse?
