Made a axe sharpener

Post by Pitchy »

Made up this axe sharpener today, ya can change the degree of angle by adding or removing washers under the point bracket. :)

Pitchey, you amaze me. How the heck do you come up with this stuff? Heck, you should patent stuff like this.
Jeepnik AKA "Old Eyes"
"Go low, go slow and preferably in the dark" The old Sarge (he was maybe 24.
"Freedom is never more that a generation from extinction" Ronald Reagan
"Every man should have at least one good rifle and know how to use it" Dad

Thanks jeepnik, I seen one somewhere but just recently getting into restoring some old axes so made one. :)

Edit, ya can also change the angle of the grind by where ya put the punch mark, closer to the cutting edge the steeper the angle. :)

That's pretty slick Lenn. Great idea!
Bet it could be done with a stone or file for sharpening in the field, also. Kind of like a Lansky sharpener.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.
