More 1860 shootin

Post by Pitchy »

Been fooling around with the 1860 a little, it has a Howell 45 LC conversion cylinder in it.
Loaded up some 230 grain lead round nose over 4.5 grains of Trail Boss that were nice mild loads and shot pretty good.
Shooting at 15 yards using my home made eye helper that allows me to see sights and target clear.
I also removed the ram rod and hanger and filled in with JB weld as I never plan on shooting it as a ML, I think it looks neat. :)

Good shooting, buddy.
Pretty clever filling in the rammer hole. Really streamlined the look.
What did it do to the balance? Must shift it rearward.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.
