Whereas ice cream is better with Tullamore Dew, and tofu is much better with Bushmills.

Enough Bushmills can. It takes a lot.

The trick to eating healthy is: Let yourself cheat 3 times a month!
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

If you reward GOOD behavior for 10 consecutive days with a bit of fun, it helps. Can't reward yourself if you didn't behave those 10 days though.

My Doc told me to never eat tofu or anything made from soybeans.

'Soy" does have estrogenic properties, and many guys already have high 'aromatase' activity, meaning they turn too much of their testosterone into estrogen, causing increased prostate symptoms, decreased libido, and perhaps clotty blood. Even one-time exposure to Roundup (glyphosate) may be enough to permanently increase aromatase activity for a lifetime.

For women, many use "soy" to help menopausal symptoms, assuming it is somehow 'safe' since it isn't "estrogen", but since it relieves the menopausal symptoms by stimulating estrogenic receptors, it is not rational to assume it is any safer than regular "estrogen". The real issue affecting most women is that they use synthetic estrogen and progesterone (i.e Premarin and Provera, or Nuva Ring, Mirena, or Birth Control Pills), which both increase clot (infarction and stroke) risk and increase breast cancer risk - if they would stick to REAL human forms of the hormones (inconvenient since they cannot be used orally), they would have LESS cardiac and LESS breast risk than women who use no hormones.

Soy would make most of these matters worse......

However - in "moderation" it is probably fine.
