Finally get my turn for surgery tomorrow -- laminectomy at L-5. Positive thoughts and prayers "mucho appreciado" by this repentant sinner.

Luck to you with the operation and may you have pretty nurses. :)

A friend of mine had to have two vertebrae fused and when his back pains returned he began swimming laps and pain went away. He kept up the swimming and looked younger than others his age.

Prayers Up Bill, I also have a bad L-5 . My Doctor years ago put the x-rays up and said "see what a life of labor did for You". Good Luck. Jim.

Prayers up for you. I'm shortly there behind you. My back flared up again, to the point I've been flat on it on ice since Friday. Went into the doctor Monday; he ordered up a MRI. Still waiting for Workers Comp to approve it. After that, perhaps a spinal injection, or the same surgery. Good luck to you!

Kid, I had to have the injections and they had to give no relief before I was cleared for the surgery.
Tycer, timely warning, I had real problems with that when I had the double fusion a few years ago.

Well, I survived, but it feels this morning like I got kicked in the lower back by a mule. Thank the good Lord for serious m]pain meds. Y'all were great with the prayers and good wishes. I owe a lot of beers,
