Peggy McPherson went home to the Father

Post by CowboyTutt »

My friend Peggy McPherson went to the Father last night. The flu on top of her diabetes proved to be just too much for her. Left behind a loving husband and 3 wonderful adult children. For those who have been around this forum a very long time, we once used Lever Guns to post the "Peggy McPherson Benefit Account" that saved not only the McPherson 's house but according to Mic, probably saved Peggy's life as she was not strong enough then to survive being uprooted and losing their house.

After talking to Mic at 5:30 this morning I crossed my arms and started to pray. It took a long time for any words to come out, and when the words did come out I was surprised what I had to say.

" Lord, I guess I should start with saying thank you so much for making a woman as beautiful as Peggy McPherson. She was just the sweetest woman I think I have ever met in my whole life. I didn't know Peggy as well as others but she always made me feel so very special, to a degree that was an honor. Peggy had the most melodious and beautiful voice, like a song bird singing outside of a church. She loved fantasy artwork which is all about their home. This is fitting as to me, there was always an ethereal quality to Peggy, like some part of her was not a part of this world but from the place where only Angels come from. She was really that special. "

The family is of course in great pain, and your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely Andy Tuttle aka CowboyTutt

I can't believe that this Bible verse was just "randomly " generated from my NASB Bible App. Father is listening.

Description of a Worthy Woman [10] An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. [11] The heart of her husband trusts in her, And he will have no lack of gain. [12] She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. [13] She looks for wool and flax And works with her hands in delight. [14] She is like merchant ships; She brings her food from afar. [15] She rises also while it is still night And gives food to her household And portions to her maidens. [16] She considers a field and buys it; From her earnings she plants a vineyard. [17] She girds herself with strength And makes her arms strong. [18] She senses that her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out at night. [19] She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hands grasp the spindle. [20] She extends her hand to the poor, And she stretches out her hands to the needy. [21] She is not afraid of the snow for her household, For all her household are clothed with scarlet. [22] She makes coverings for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple. [23] Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land. [24] She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies belts to the tradesmen. [25] Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future. [26] She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. [27] She looks well to the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. [28] Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying: [29] "Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all." [30] Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. [31] Give her the product t of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates.

While Peggy didn't have much physical strength in her arms, she was the source of all moral support for Mic and family. Her strength and perseverance in the face of so much illness was the stuff of legend. Every time the Doctors told Mic, "This is it" Peggy fought back every time. Peggy was extraordinarily brave.

Thankfully, the 'good ones' like her typically have had such a beneficial influence on other people, including young people, and often their own kids and grandkids, that they truly do create other wonderful people to eventually fill their shoes.

Prayers up for her family to endure the loss.

Add my love and prayers, Sympathies and condolences to her family and friends, and for all who knew her.

It's always difficult to hear of the passing of one of our own.. It seems to make us focus on our own mortality..

Godspeed, lovely lady...

Thanks to my friends for the kind words and scripture too. Been doing some reading tonight on those Psalm verses in my NASB and NKJV Orthodox Study Bible. While I will soon be joining what is called the Eastern Catholic or Byzantine Catholic or Ukrainian Catholic Church, have to admit my NASB still speaks loudly and well.

Mic was able to finally read this thread today, and he was very touched by it Gentleman. He is going to share it with his daughtet Autumn tomorrow and guests. Thank you very much for your prayers. One Man I think I need to single out is Buck Elliott, who is no stranger to this level of personal misfortune.

Thank you Buck. I remember. .....

I was very sorry to hear the very sad news about Peggy.

As Christians we know that the grave is not the end and that we will see our loved ones again when we to, pass into eternal life, to be joined together again for eternity!

This song helped me get through the loss of a loved one.
I hope that it does the same for the McPherson Family.

Heard from Mic yesterday that the church where they got married was full for the memorial. She touched a lot of lives. Will have more information soon.
