I prefer to use Hoppes #9 as an after shave lotion.

The formula for the last 20 years is different but I keep a real old bottle around just to splash it around my face and neck before necking. :D ----6

Six if you look online you might find car air fresheners in hoppers #9. I saw an ad for them several years ago.

Hoppes is a great smell, but I prefer diesel fuel or Marvel Mystery oil.

My first wife loved the smell of Young's 303 cleaner, I can't say I shared her love of the aroma..... :?
BTW if you can't buy this gun oil in the US you ain't missed anything.....
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

I'm with 6 on the Hoppe's. Esperanza objects to it but I use it anyway.

How come women don't have and wear perfume that smells like bacon?
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Ya know M.M....there's just something about that smell....Hoppes......the guys who come down to the Sixgun gunroom always make that statement.....ahhhhhhhhh.....like they're in heaven or something.

Like I said earlier, if you guys see any of the old Hoppes at gunshows or in back rooms of old gunshows, get that.....waaaayyyyyy different smell. Nice and rich, so nice you want to take a nip of this stuff.----6

6,
I'm using out of a gallon can that is getting pretty low so it must be very old. I know it's been around 20 years or so but a buddy gave it to me so I'm not sure.

The open shotgun isn't the same without PB in a paper hull.

PB? Peanut Butter in a shotgun?

From the 8th. grade on up my bedroom housed My 75 target rifle, an 86, a 94 and a Mossberg 12 ga. bolt. The room was permeated with the faint smell of Hoppes #9. I wish I had a bottle of the old formula to leave uncapped the room today and no I can't afford one of their airfreshners if I could find one.
