Jes a thought about posts
I've noticed an increase in annoying posts/thread leaders. One sentence then a link to a youtube video. I know it's not a huge deal, but FWIW, I just back out when and never go to the video when I happen on one of these threads. No need to school me on forum etiquette, just my opinion...

Yeah... Life is so much more simple when one avoids the unknown and finally makes a stand on their one pet peeve.
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Those posts don't bother me, but I won't necessarily click on the 'link' either. It depends on who posted it and a comment or two (rather than a naked link) helps reassure that it wasn't some sort of spam-bot-phishing thing.

Guilty as charged.

Griff has already paid me yuuuge, bigtime bucks not to show the video of his blowup doll in the back of his truck.

Although I may not be interested in the content of the link I find it interesting to see what others find so interesting.

OK guys, I opened my self up for all yer comments and I accept them humbly. But I'm not, by no means avoiding the unknown, I just find it annoying to post links with no more information than a quick "watch this". I can't remember the last one I followed (except I will blindly follow Blain's suggestions/links as I know he is an honorable man with only good intentions for his fellow man. I did manage to say that with a straight face! ). There's 3 1/2 threads like this in the last 2 or 3 days...

Hey Doc...which one did you give him? I sent him a well used "Greek style" one last year and he got so excited about it he told me he was driving up North to "drive down the Hershey Highway".----6AJMD429 wrote:....he was supposed to give it back three months ago...!BlaineG wrote:Griff has already paid me yuuuge, bigtime bucks not to show the video of his blowup doll in the back of his truck.

Re: Jes a thought about posts
I understand what you mean. People have to make the effort to sell it if they want me to look at a link or video. Cause theres a great deal of stuff in the world I am not interested in, and I am here to participate in a leverguns forum.
And frankly, when I look at a post, I am looking to see what the person has to say. I didn't open it, to get redirected to what someone else did that's not on a leverguns forum...
I suppose I think its mildly impolite.

That's why I tend to copy the material, and provide the link as a resource to anyone interested in going to the source.
I find myself often, with such limited time, checking in here when I have less than a fast connection (like now, on a plane). Videos won't feed.
