Well I reckon that would be a really rare rifle to pick up with a description like that.

I know what happened. A llloooooooonnnnnggg time ago, a man put an 1894 Marlin and an 1892 Winchester in a closet. When no one was looking, those two rifles "hooked" up and had a baby.-------6

In news that rocked the financial and gun worlds, a lost headline was recently uncovered:
For an undisclosed amount or type of compensation, a young Mahlon Marlin accepted 13 year old future financier Oliver Winchester's stipulation that his progeny could NOT produce this rifle commercially for 71 years!

Notice "THE STINGER" wasp stamp at the end of the roll markings close to the receiver the barrel came off a Winchester rifle from Perry Brothers Merchants Brisbane Australia

THE most annoying thing is the description "hex" barrel.
Sorry, but that just does my head in.

Yeah I found a plastic hex tube, thought about putting it over a barrel and advertising it, but figured no one would get the sarcasm.Pop Watts wrote:THE most annoying thing is the description "hex" barrel.

Also Pop Watts, I have noticed that Australia seems to have alot of levers in 32WCF at reasonable prices. How did so many make it down there? Todd/3leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Re: 32 WCF Marlin Model 94 made in 1823 (!)
We got bucket loads of 32-20 and 44-40 leverguns in Oz because back in the days before everything had to shoot at 4000 fps or better the 32-20 and 44-40 were considered to be just about ideal for our kind of shooting. About the only thing they couldn't do well was scrub bull and buffalo, and even those could be done with a 44-40 under the ear, and since 99.9 out of 100 shooters would never encounter either of those, a man with a 32-20 was well armed. Also there were a large number imported for government contracts in the early days for prisons, police, etc.
Most are pretty ordinary, some are special, but that's the first one I've seen that's truly unbelievable.
