My condolences to his family, I miss his posts and his political views always caused a few sparks to fly.

Follow JunkBugs's link in the first post. Great wisdom - like having an uncle giving you sage advice. Going to have to find a new source for lubed felt wads that I use with .45-70 black powder cartridges. Junior said he lubed the felt wads with "genuine hog lard". Said it was easy to do and I should make them up for myself and save some money. More fun to get them from Junior.

RIP, my opinionated friend, discussions (arguments? ) with you will be missed.

Bummer, I always thought he would be a fun guy to hang out with in a hunting camp around a camp fire. Could never figure out his political leanings but to each his own. Always enjoyed his "make do" articles and thought process.

Sorry to hear of his passing. Maybe someone here can track down a photo of him and put a post on the memorial forum. I wouldn't know how to go about getting the photograph.

Prayers up for his family and friends to deal with the loss; he's surely in a good place now.

I didn't see this thread, I just posted in the memorial section. I read about his passing on the castboolit forum.

Yes, he was an original. I enjoyed his articles.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." -Theodore Roosevelt-

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

Sorry to hear that. I've been using "Junior's Lube" for years. Always my pleasure to give him credit when asked what my lube choice is.
He was one of those "find a way" kind of guys that solved problems and met needs without just throwing cash at it.
He'll be missed in our shooting community.
R.I.P. Junior...you done good work.

I've read some of Juniors words, learned a bit from him too.
"Happy and healthy till he wasn't", sure beats going long and slow.
I just got home from a funeral for an old family friend, took him ten years to go from lung disease. I prefer Juniors way.
Farewell Junior.

What a loss. A great levergunner and a charitable human being. I missed him when he left this forum.

One of his legacies is his recipe for the 30-30 170gr. Hard cast bullet, a hog load, in a semi-auto SKS or AK-47 cartridge. This was my favorite, but of course he gave us many more innovative ideas.
