I'm well equipped for snow driving. My '98 Ford Explorer has AWD with Bridgestone Winter Dueler tires. No traction problems at all. But shoveling snow is always a chore that I dread. Last storm, the township snow plow sealed my driveway entrance with piles of snow.

I went on a Florida hog hunt last year at Christmas time with this outfit: Seminole Prairie Outfitters.

The hunt cost $200. and I nailed a medium sized hog weighing approx 150 lbs. I hunted with my Glenfield 30-30 carbine.

I've downed several coyotes with shots of approx. 75 yards using my 22 MAG rifle. The bullet hits like a little grenade. Based upon my experiences, I'd say that coyotes are easy to kill with chest shots.

Years ago, I hunted with a 141 in Michigan. It was a 35 Remington and shot exceedingly well with iron sights but my eyeballs were much younger then.

Good luck on finding 35 ammo. NONE AVAILABLE in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

I bought my 788 new in 1977 for less than $200. Chambering is 22-250. Barrel length is 24 inches.

This rifle is very accurate and shoots a variety of bullet weights quite well. I'm not clear why it went out of production.

My Aunt Lillian hunted with a 141 in 25 Remington for over 40 years. She downed many Pennsylvania deer with her rifle and none got away. The 25 is a keeper!
