My .30-40 multi ball is still all theory in my head at this point. But instead of 2 balls of buckshot I'm thinking of getting a swage from the guy mentioned in the attached link. I think with projectiles shown in the link you could stack 3 or more in the long neck of the Krag case, same might apply ...

I'd like to say yes but I have to agree with COSteve. Here in Washington a law was recently passed making the loaning of firearms (even to extended family) all but illegal. Frankly I think it's stupid but it's the way things are now days.

I only kill the rattlers around the house and yard. A shovel is my usual tool of choice but I'm not against using a bullet or CCI shotshells either. With kids, dogs and livestock around why take the chance one of them will get bit?

Well I was able to pick the new Miroku 1873 today. My first .44-40, I got the only box of Ultramax ammo they had. It might be the nicest Miroku I've got! I had time to work the action once (very slightly gritty) but as nice as my 1895's are I dont expect that to be any issue. Beautiful case coloring...

Not the oddest gun... but in the second battle for Fallujah in 2004 while clearing houses a friend of mine yelled at me to come look at what he found... Turned out to be a beautiful blued 2" Colt Python! I couldn't see a scratch on it anywhere. I wish I could have brought it home.
