I can see how it would be useful. Not that I am any sort of expert, but it does appear to be capable of covering several possible needs. Slugs, buckshot, and birdshot all have their purpose. Other than long range, it should be great.

I live in town, and we have several cottontails running around the neighborhood. There is a place about a mile away where some folks have about 3 acres in town that is all trees and brush, and I see coyotes going in and out of there all the time. My Uncle who was Infantry in the 2nd Armored Division took out a Tiger singlehandedly. He was awarded a Silver Star for it. My Dad remembers his older brother as saying he didn't have a choice, as it was kill or be killed. He was out scouting with an Officer when they bumped into the Tiger. He might...

The German tanks had better guns and thicker armor than what most of our tanks had. Going in search of a German tank that was barricaded was true bravery. That crew deserved those medals.

And, NO I am not suggesting that I would scope a rifle like those. That would require to start wearing digital urban camo pants and a T-shirt advertising me as someone who thinks that they are tactical and cool. Truly dangerous men and guns do not have to look the part.

My Marlin prefers the Core Lokt 150 grain bullets. They are as accurate as I can shoot in it. As far as wound channels and dead animals, I have never lost an animal I shot with that combination.
