What amazes me is how many people say they will vote for Biden... They must be either: a) viewing him as just a ‘place-holder’ for someone unimpaired who they will slip in before inauguration, or b) so out of touch with reality that they have no clue the impact of his political agenda, or c...

Winchester started D&T'ing for scope mounts in the early 80's when they went to the AE models.

I looked up and watched the video. He pretty much answered your question in his first sentence when he said the 73 carbine was one of his favorites.

I've fired a bunch of lever guns and although the 73 wouldn't be my first choice, I don't see any thing wrong with it.

Bob, I'm not sure I'd go to +P+ pressure levels in those calibers. I have the original Hodgdon (?) #26 manual and the .45 Colt Ruger - Thompson / Center loads stop at 30K PSI or CUP, not sure which. Even in the Win 94 I won't go farther than that. One of the loads I've shot is 300 gr cast truncated ...

Bob, I don't know about "all" Win 94s in the pistol calibers, but I do know about my 1985 vintage 94AE in .45 Colt. It will handle over length ammo up to 1.75" COAL. I suspect that an AE model in 44-40 will handle cartridges somewhat longer than factory as well. If your 94 is a pre AE...

Bryan, I started reloading in the late 60's. At that time most of the primers I was using were CCI. They were flat. The Federal and Winchester primers were domed. To keep from detonating them I had to grind the priming punch (original Lee Loader) to a concave shape. By the mid 1970's all the fresh p...

Cheyenne, The floppy trigger is normal to the post 64s. A bit annoying to some, but not a problem functionally. The hammer moving forward after lowering the lever is due to a change to the little cross brace in the receiver that sits directly in front of the hammer. It was shortened to allow the tri...
