Last pig I shot about three years ago was 150-160 pounds so not in the trophy class but I used my 444 with 300 grai handloads. Only move that pig made was straight down to the ground and the hole had about a sixteenth of an inch of bloodshot around it that’s all.

Also remember if you have been exposed and are in the incubation period, even if you “get the shot” you will probably get sick. I have heard a thousand times that I got the shot and got the flu three days later from it. Uhh no.

For my suppressor equipped 45-70 I was loading 11 grains of trail boss with a 405 or 520 lead bullet, but shots would probably need to be close. I also use 11grains of unique as well in a couple old 45-70.
