Hey now that's great info to know! I have a Winchester single shot .22 that needs a bolt, forget what model it is. I did cross reference it for different model but none in stock at Numrich. I have a Savage 23B, 25-20, I'm always looking for magazines when I go to gun shows, so far I haven't found an...

Re: Hornady HPBT Match bullets for game?
The Nosler BTs in the big caliber so are great deer bullets, if memory serves, under .257/85 grains are VARMINT bullets. I know someone somewhere will chime in saying they have been using such in such match bullet for years without fail. Just can't condone a match bullet for big game. Especially in ...

The small gauges are FUN! My first was a Remington 1148 in 28 ga. Used it for small game.sadly I traded it off. Then I got a Hi Standard Flight King with a skeet choked barrel. 3" #5's were deadly on jumping ducks! Still have it. Then I bought a Ruger Red Label 28, I shoot my own reloads, Dillo...

Re: Hornady HPBT Match bullets for game?
Match bullets tend to have very thin jackets( or used to). If I knew I could get a head shot I would feel comfortable with it but I don't think I would use that bullet for a body shot. It could blow up as a flesh wound or act like a FMJ... Nosler 60 gr partition, the GMX, Fusion or a Barnes monolith...

Years ago I knew an AR7 that was ' worked' if your trigger finger was a little too heavy it would double, triple or dump the whole mag at once!
Seems to me this Henry in question probably has a bad barrel/ receiver lock up.
No doubt Henry will rectify it in no time at all!

Club I hunt only allows break open guns, hence the CZ I bid on, otherwise I'd shoot my Hi-Standard.

Kind of a slippery slope... I see no reason why you should give up YOUR spot. You have taken the time & put in the effort for your spot. I'd tell your sister that until you have a chance to get in the woods and have the opportunity to take a deer for yourself he can hunt that 160 acres. It's 160...

I also have a Bee and want to try Lilgun in it too. Both use about the same load, the 25-20 should be a bit lower pressure. Also gotta work up a Hornet load!

I have a Savage 23b, although someone cut the barrel and drooled & tapped for a side mount. It's a good shooter, 1" or better at 100 from the bench.
