Not the best steel in the world, but those Old Hickory had decent carbon steel. Easy to sharpen to a razor edge.

What Flatnose said. My 73 F250 had owner-installed headers that were not shielded and would fry the starter with regularity. I'd go thru a starter about once a year with that beast. (one of the nicest trucks I owned, tho)

When I had a Leupold Scout Scope and a set of Ashley Outdoors Ghost Ring and HiViz front sight on my Guide Gun, I could shoot to about the same degree of accuracy with either one at about 100 yards...

A suppressed pistol-caliber levergun is about as good a pest-patrol gun around the farm as you can get. Scorpions glow like crazy under a black light. I have a hand held light, as I live at ground zero for scorpions. I caught right at 50 of em in 7-8 nights within 20 feet of house. :shock: They get active about ten pm. I had 7 chickens that use to keep these numbers down, but I got tierd of em pelosi...

:roll: :roll: As usual, VA takes its own sweet time. I'll get an evaluation by the surgeon on 25 August. Then, if applicable, a surgery date prolly a month or more out. Having complained a bit, I still remain truly grateful for my VA treatment.
