Here are my two sets of Ahrends with that same speedloader cut. Your appears to be the same as the one on the upper right, without the finger grooves. Ahrends often offered them with or without the grooves.

We have a bunch of them in Missouri. They usually seem to be town birds here, with a few hanging around larger farm complexes. We only kill a few in the dove fields. Could get a mess of them in town with a pellet gun, though.

I shoot Hornaday 110 grain half-jackets ahead of 8.5 grains of Unique in my pre-64 94. They give me about 1510 fps, don't lead because of the jacket, are fairly cheap, and are plenty accurate for small game. I do have to change my sight setting due to the different point of impact this load offers.

I often pocket carry a Kahr P380, a Kahr PM40, and a SW 642. Of the three, the PM40 gets carried the most. It has the best combination of power, capacity, size, and shootability. Believe it or not, the 642 is one the most concealable due to its irregular shape.

I have a NAA mini revolver, and as JB noted, they are mainly novelty pieces. I have a few Smith and Wesson j-frame kit-guns (34, 63, 51) and find them wonderful small revolvers for field use. For me, they are much easier to shoot than the similar-sized Bearcats. Much easier to load and unload too.

I had a Marlin 1894 (.44) and still own a Browning 53 in 32-20. I believe the 53 is easily worth the difference in price. The workmanship on the 53 is unbelievable. Mine is also extremely accurate.
