Griff, thanks for the reply. Ponder is a few miles down the road, that is good news. The TD does not have the full mag conversion. I did not like the way it used a large button on the outside of the forearm.

Griff, love the 45 ACP in a lever gun. DRC made my 1894 in 45 ACP. Do you think that the 1873 in 45 Colt with a new Cowboy carrier could be the way to go? Any gunsmiths you could recommend?

Our favorite, tradtional leverguns were designed around rimmed cartridges, and still work best that way.. Lots of non-traditional alterations can be made to them, to allow them to accept rimless rounds, for example, but there isn't enough interest in the process to make it commercially viable.. Tra...

David Clay of DRC can make you a 45 ACP lever, mine loves 200 grain SWC just like my 1911's.

A friend of mine just finished building one. He's currently working the kinks out, then he sez, he'll put some lipstick on the pig. I'd heard stories of attempts to make the .45ACP work in a levergun for years... and if anyone had showed me a functioning, reliable example, I would already have one....

DRC did the whole rifle, finish is high gloss blue. I made the buttcuff to hold an eight round Wilson #47D magazine for my 1911.

Nice touch having a mag pouch for his 1911 too. How many rounds does you tube mag hold? I made the butt cuff to hold an eight round mag for the 1911 cause I am a huge 1911 junkie. The mag tube should hold ten rounds with the 16 1/2" bbl. I had David Clay work the chamber to feed my favorite 45...

Pistol grip to straight grip

Called Marlin today to get a trigger guard plate for the pistol grip to straight grip conversion that I am going to do to my Marlin 410. I was informed that they do not sell the part and the gun has to be sent to Marlin for the conversion. Anyone know where I could get the part?
