I had one I would swear was significantly earlier but cannot corroborate. It was a fabulous piece, an SRC that was pretty smooth out of the box, smoother yet with some levering watching TV in the evening.. No feeding issues (actually quite the opposite). Re: Looking for a barrel for a Rossi .357 levergun
Shy of something like a Douglas or other custom rebarrel, I would just shorten it to 20 in, reuse the mag tube hanger/ferule, then you have a bonafide short rifle. Yeah, I know that 4in difference might not amount to enough weight loss for your objectives, except for psychologically haha! As far as ...

I may have missed it, but I see no mention of the specific distinction or differentiation of Interarms (ie, pre re-tooling) era and later Rossis (appx 2000-on). Therein lies the change, roughly, from the odd .390-ish (+/-) dovetails to the standard 3/8 (.375ish). My several Interarms guns are consis...

Mixmaster. The front sight on the barrel band suggests a pre re-tooling Interarms-era barrel. While theoretically someone could have used the early barrel band/front sight combo on a later barrel, would be highly unusual. You'd really have to prefer the old Rossi style or function over the more Winc...
