I don't mind a shoulder holster with my 3" Model 60, or with a smaller automatic like the Walther PP or Beretta 71, but the larger holster needed for a 1911 is a lot less comfortable and a lot less concealable. The X15 has a good reputation but quite frankly I find the Goodrich and Gould should...

If someone could engineer a short stroke mod for the Rossi, it'd probably bring back a resurgence of the 1892's near domination of the sport of cowboy shootin'. When I started this game, the Rossi far outnumbered the Uberti '66 & '73 clones, and was favored pretty evenly with the Marlin 1894, b...

Muzzle velocities are nice, but what about their downrange ballistics? I'd suspect their pointy bullets don't give up what the "blunts" in your levergun will. If you look at trajectory and stay with a sub sonic load of say 220 grains at 1020 fps, the point black range is pretty poor - abo...

I buy it in .22 Hornet and I agree the accuracy is mediocre. But it's good brass, and .22 Hornet brass can be hard to find and expensive when you find it.
I also buy it in 7.62 Nagant, where it is not only available but nicely priced and it's the quickest, cheapest way to get reloadable brass.

Military apertures tend to be flat plates as they are often stamped from sheet steel. It's just a cost of production thing.
