Re: Well this sucks

Well, first off, I am not a professional. But I do have an opinion. I have owned exactly 5 1911's in my 55 years. I kept the Combat Commander because that is all I needed. Been tinkered with a bit, but accurate and reliable. I bought my first Glock 19 back in '93 and was impressed as I could be for ...

Re: Two 22 lr ammo questions

My CZ does well with CCI Minimag but really likes the Winchester white box stuff. It's a bolt so ftf are not really critical to action.

Re: What Firearm Did You Sell That You Want Back?

Oh man..... where do I start? My 1976 Remington m-1100 I bought when I was 12 years old with my own money. Then there was the early 70's Marlin M 336 in .35 Rem. Oh, and then I sold a beautiful Winchester M-70 in 7mm Magnum that I believe was the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. I live in Flor...

Re: Cast Iron Cooking Lore

I've been cooking on cast iron now for I guess 15 + years and exclusively for the last 8 years. I finally got rid of the last of my "non-stick" pans when we moved 6 months ago into a smaller place. I have accumulated several skillets. 1 6", 3 8" , 3 10", 1 12" and 2 10'...

Re: Let's Hear About How You Make Coffee

Using the kuerig nowdays. I only need 1 cup or I get jittery. We buy Café du Monde chicory coffee cheap at a Vietnamese market and use a little basket insert. Cheaper that way. Makes a pretty good cup in my special mug with a dollop of honey and a splash of half-n-half. If I have the time I use a st...

I love both Spam and sausages. I keep a couple of cans of sausages under the seat of the boat just in case. Had them all my life, camping or whatever. Rather just avoid knowing what is in them. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

I have not seen that particular model, but I must say..... LOVE IT! Had that been available when I bought my '95 years ago, well, no point in pining. For $750, not a bad choice. If I were in the market........

I sold the one I had several years ago to finance a Sig P220. One of my biggest of many gun trading mistakes. And sadly, not the last one either.

Sorry for your loss. The only good coyote is a dead coyote. We have them here in central Florida everywhere. I recently moved out of a golf course community and I was constantly seeing this one off the 13th Tee box. I carry a .22 mag in the wagon, but I don't want to get arrested firing a weapon ins...

I hear ya'll. While I don't currently own one now, I've owned two M-19s in the past and I am very favorable of them. I intend to rectify that empty slot in the safe in the future.
They are not particularly pretty, but by golly I can hit with it almost as good as my 1911.

Re: Help me pick a 22 mag rifle

I have a Marlin 25mn from around 1990 in 22 mag that is pretty accurate. Not a poor choice by any means if you can find one in decent shape. My other maggie is inherited from my brother who passed on his old H&K M300. This gun has killed everything found in the state of Florida including deer, h...

Nice little read. I have owned other rifles in different calibers including a nice Model 70 in 7mm Rem Mag. Sold them but kept my .30-30 Model 94 and my little Glenfield carbine.
In the swamps and pine flats of Florida, it does put meat on the table and doubles as home security. I'll never sell them.

Re: Non-lever, Santa delivers personal fave, Browning Hi Pow

Catching up on the latest from the holidays, But DANG! The HP is one of my top 3 favorites along with the Colt 1911 and S&W J frames. I had a .40 cal once for a while and sold it because it wasn't a 9 mm. In light of recent gun control events, I think I need to keep an eye out for one. Congrats ...
