Re: Most Accurate 30-30...?

My main question would be: Does an 1885 Winchester count as a "lever gun"? If so, i've seen one that beats an inch easily and most every time, and this, with cast bullets.

Well, I'm not Paco, and I didn't work with the cartridge, but clearly bullet weight, and diameter would be two things you would get out of it.

Re: 1873 clone in .357mag opinions

Mr. Murbach, It's hard to follow your posts. I'm assuming you directed some of that puke you wrote, to my original post. I have some advice for you. First, set the drink down before you type. Second, do us a favor and take a couple **** pills. I got lots of information off this thread. Sorry to say,...

Re: 1873 clone in .357mag opinions

Nor did you need to be a mind reader. That's right, I did not ask a specific question. I wanted a general opinion on the rifle/caliber in question. OK.....Here is specific. How does it feed? Will it feed Keith's? Does groove diameter run normal? How are the sights? Has anyone shot one enough to have...

Back troubles have kept me from a lot of my shooting the last couple years. When I'm able, I shoot two trap leagues a year. I shoot a few local ATA tournaments. I love single shot rifles. I used to compete in Schuetzen, and hope to again some day. I hunt big game, varmints, and birds.

Rossi 92 question

Am thinking of buying a Rossi 92. Have not made up my mind which caliber. I am wondering if they have correct twist to shoot heavy for caliber bullets. Say, 300 gr. cast slugs in .44 and .45. Anyone shooting heavy slugs in these?

Bolt Peep on '92?

Has anyone ever fitted a bolt peep sight, ala Win. 71, on a 92? That would be a neat setup. I have heard bolt peeps are being manufactured again, but cannot confirm it.
