I have been wanting to put a couple boxes up on a pond on my hunting property but never have found the time to make one. I usually have a couple of pairs that visit the pond in the fall. It would be nice to have them there in the spring and summer. Although I would have to get rid of some racoons to...

Someone still makes part sets for the Ferguson rifle. I think it's the Rifle Shoppe in Oklahoma. I know a couple of guys that own one of the re-pops but never ask how fast the fouling builds up. As for patching round balls for rifled guns. The Germans didn't use patches in their Jeager rifles for ye...

My old mountain cur caught one and brought it up on our front porch one night. I could hear the bones cracking and he shook it like a rag doll. I took it from him and tossed it of the porch and planned on planting him the next morning. To my surprise he was gone in the morning. I found some blood on...

My vet was telling me that she dealt with covid virus in animals all the time. Not covid 19 but covid and I'm not sure the government officials can tell the difference now. Nice looking rifle you came into. What kind of wood is it stocked in? If you want to put some patina on the butt plate try cold brown and then soak it in hot water 180-200 degrees for about fifteen minutes. After that take it out and rub it down good with a green 3M pad soaked in WD-40. That should ...
