Re: Happy solar eclipse

Before the clouds covered everything we could actually watch the movement of the moon ... but that might also have been the absenthe in my Sczarac.

According to cow-orkers in Riverton, it got dark enough, long enough, to trip the photosensors on the parking lot lights.

As an old M110(A2) 8" SP Howitzer Red Leg, we thought nothing of dropping 200lbs of HE into the bed of a pickup on the impact area from 10+klicks... as a ranging shot. The other 12 rounds following got to bracket the driver.

I really don't have a "favorite vehicle". All of my vehicle purchases have been purpose driven more than driven by "cool" or other factors.

I guess if I could have a "favorite" that I've never owned it would be a Carman Ghia convertible (I've owned a 68 Beetle). At least I can work on the engine...

When you say it will not start when hot do you mean it will not crank over? I don't even hear the solenoid click, much less the starter turn. I just noticed something about stuffy cat in your post. If your cats are partially blocked, that will cause higher underhood temps, and can lead to increased...

Great advice all. We'll test those theories at my in-law's place. I'm hoping to have a good Hi/Low temp reading from the OBD the next time it fails then starts working again.
