Latest 1895 Winchester And A Few Test Shots
I don't sight many guns in on targets, today was no different. Rocks seem to be my preferred target. I borrowed a bullet mould from Mike Venturino and went to his book on shooting lever actions to find a load to try. I am using a 38-55 250 grain bullet sized at .379 with gas check. Wow, I'm in love ...

It is original in original condition and does letter. These guns are rare and even more rare in this condition. The bore is great and the gun functions and shoots fine.rbertalotto wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 11:24 am Tell us more! I have a reproduction Burgess.......This one looks original. Any history on it?

One More For The Stable; 1895 Winchester 38-72
I have had an original 40-72 for a few years and finally found the perfect second 1895, this one in 38-72. Both are rare chamberings and both are in real good original condition. http://i.imgur.com/9V65ba4l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/xaxi4F4l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bsFo3kPl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/RehqPf...

Cody is a must, I would recommend you time your trip through Cody the weekend of July 10-12. They have their annual WACA and Sharps gun show that weekend. You will be able to see, handle and even buy guns as nice as they have in the Cody museum. Once you are that close to the Custer Battlefield, you...

Guys those are both super SRCs. Mine says Browning on it but I'm still proud of it. Neither of them has any stories to tell except maybe about rats running around the warehouse. New in 1890 that is. I picked this up today, I had talked to a friend of mine a few months ago about an estate that this gun was in and had given up that I might get it. The truck, if you can call it that, is about as close to being mainstream as the internal combustion powered vehicle is to being outdated. The advocates of this electric joke, show just how far removed from reality they are if they continue to embrace the electric technology that we currently have. ...

I was cruising the Cabelas Gun Library hoping to find a nice gun. I didn't have a wish list, just looking. The Cabelas in Maine had a real nice Colt first generation 38-40 with a 7 1/2 inch barrel. The 32-40 and 38-55 were the first chamberings in the model 1894 and they were loaded with black powder, the 25-35 and 30-30 came in 1895 as the first smokeless cartridges for th 1894. I picked up a nice conversion at the Cody gun show. It is a 17 pounder, with a L.N. Mogg scope in 45-110 caliber.
