Re: Login Every Time I Visit?

On my HTC Android I was having to login each time. Investigation indicated that at the bottom right of the active topics page is the three line menu marker. I selected delete all board cookies. I logged in again and so far it is repeatedly logging me in. It stopped doing that after the last board up...

Re: 44-40

Here is the point/s, the attraction is nostalgia. But a cylinder mouth smaller than the barrel, which by the way is the wrong size for 44-40 is a recipe for inaccuracy. A barrel change to the correct size or a cylinder change is in order. Or forget how it shoots and revel in nostalgia although, it i...

Re: 44-40

OK there Logger, keep that cylinder so that you have a 44-40 but take the Dirty Harry approach who said he shot a light Spl for better accuracy. I have 4 Specials that shoot fine with a variety of loads and are very easy to load for. Wonder if it is possible to get a .44 Special cylinder for a New F...

44-40

Ollogger expresses frustration at his New Frontier in 44-40. I never worked with one. Reading Ken Waters it appears he found a Colt finicky too.

Question then, who has had success?

Re: 3rd gen Colt 44spcl loads

In my Model 24 S&W I loaded 2400 in one gr. increments from 11.0 grs. to 17.0 grs.. On a hunch I also loaded some at 12.5 grs.. That load proved to be the most accurate of the 6,000 rds. I put through it.

13.0 grs would be fine I would opine. I shot this group offhand at 25 yds.

Yes, great post. If you don't like the CCH, put cold blue on it. I did on my Pietta 1860 Army. It will turn it blue as the CCH is likely the chemical variety.
