The car driver didn`t show any respect for the bike rider but the bike rider should of just hit the brakes or throttled off instead of making a bad situation worse. Been fooling around with the 1860 a little, it has a Howell 45 LC conversion cylinder in it. Loaded up some 230 grain lead round nose over 4.5 grains of Trail Boss that were nice mild loads and shot pretty good. Thanks for those pictures Kevin and I think your right, sorry if I misled anyone there have been cougar sightings in the area though.
The culprit was at the bird feeders this morning a young black bear :)

I`m 62 and been riding since I was 10, can`t remember a year that I didn`t have a bike recon I`ll have one till I die.

Thanks Jay, I did a little better with my glasses on the left target but I did much better with the 1860 conversion with the wider rear sight.
Oh well it`s all fun and it`s a joy shooting these single actions. :)

Thanks Bill :) Just loaded 200 rounds using 6.5 grains of Unique and 200 grain cast bullets, thanks go to Six for the bullets and MM for the 44 spl cases. Even with good eyes - which I no longer have either - the unaltered sights on most black powder cap & ball revolvers including the awesome 1860 Army Colt leave a HECK of a lot to be desired. Did you do the conversion yourself? I counted the five shots and assumed you'd only loaded five like the old timers did - then I saw it's a five shot cylinder. A 1860 Pietta with a Howell conversion too 45 LC.
Haven`t shot it in a long time, shooting at ten paces not to bad. 8)
I don`t remember what the load is I`ll have to dig out my reloading specs. :)
